Our Dogs

Lock Five’s April Foolya MH - TRICKY

TrickyTricky earned her Master title the week she turned three. She has also qualified for four straight master nationals. Tricky is one of those dogs who is a hard charging, intense retriever that has a calm disposition. These qualities have resulted in a dog who is steady on the line but has the drive to be successful in competition. She is also well mannered in the duck blind and delightful to be around in the home. Tricky is a big, handsome, large-boned bitch that looks like a male and she has an outstanding field pedigree.

Ashland’s Velvet Elvis – ELVIS

ElvisElvis is a true hard-charger when it comes to retrieving. He is a handsome 75 pound black Labrador with total intensity for work and is polite, loving and well-mannered in the home – just like a Lab should be.

After a successful Derby career with trainer Jim Van Engen of Right Start Kennels, Elvis quickly became Qualified All-Age with a win at the Mid-Illinois Retriever Club Field Trial at two years of age. He is showing great promise as an Open Dog as he continues field trial training with Andy Attar of Autumn Run Kennels.

Lock Five’s My Mother’s Keeper – KEEPER

Keeper is out of NFC-FC-AFC Clubmead’s Road Warrior “Chopper” who was NFC-FC-AFC at age 3. This attractive 60 pound black (yellow-factored) female is a tremendous marker with an intense desire to please. Her love for ducks and easy disposition make her an ideal hunting companion. Keeper’s early career in field trial competition shows great promise. She received the “right start” with trainer Jim Van Engen, earning a spot on the 2009 Derby List. Keeper became Qualified All-Age in her first outing at 24 months of age. She is continuing her field trial career with Andy Attar.

Lock Five's Troublesome Raider - RAIDER

McMahan’s Christmas Evie MH*** - EVIE

EvieEvie earned her Master title and became Qualified All Age as a two year old. She is currently in training and field trialing with professional trainer Andy Attar. So far, she has achieved a fourth placement in a 90-dog open and numerous amateur jams. She is a very hard charging, water busting dog who loves to work. Evie has also shown that she can carry her private school education into the field, as she never misses a duck season and shows superb instincts when it comes to retrieving the real deal.

Dogwood Run’s Winnertakeall - CHAMP
RIP 7-1-99 to 6-11-2010

See you on the other side, old friend.

FC - AFC Maple Creek's Mattie May - MATTIE

One word describes Mattie, if you've ever seen her run: FAST! Mattie is an excellent marker who accomplishes her retrieves with great style. She is also a very willing dog who accepts working as a team with her handler. Mattie has qualified for numerous nationals and was ranked as a #2 yellow labrador bitch in the county in 2012. She is as great an addition to our competitive truck as she is to our home.
